PURPOSE

The SIRA NIST CSF Metrics Project was created to help analysts and organizations create meaningful measures for the Functions, Categories, and where possible, Sub-Categories of the NIST CSF.

By creating metrics for the NIST CSF we hope we can help analysts who want to turn what might be simply a paperwork exercise into a performance-focused effort. In other words, if we're going to have to do this, we might as well try to do it so that it actually helps us defend our organizations.

COMMUNITY

You will notice that SIRA is a non-profit with modest membership dues. We create a low barrier to entry so that we can build a thriving, helpful community.

Similarly, you'll notice that the SIRA NIST CSF Metrics Project and the content in this wiki is released under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike license. http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/. So:

PLEASE help out. Remix. Improve. When you do please give SIRA Attribution, and then share your work under the same license - sharing in the similar spirit in which it was created.
